PayPal and I are working together ever since we started with online venture. In fact we still rely and will always be with them. I really can't imagine that we are already using the service for 6 years now. Time truly is fast, but still PayPal never change, and never let us down a bit! Anyway, let me tell you a short story about what happen with our PayPal account a year ago. A couple of years ago we manage to obtain a very good client, i don’t have to mention his name, all I can tell is that how nice the guy is, his a business man from USA and currently managing a family business. They came here to visit Cebu and find out more about Philippines. Lucky for us we found them as we are also looking for fresh new clients. Now we have been working with them for 3 years and hopefully the years to come. The first year of us working together, they were still staying here in Cebu and our transactions were more smooth and easy. When we need to talk about the business promotion and the plans, all we have to do is just set a meeting somewhere and we can immediately talk about it. No problem about communication at all. The story about PayPal helping us with dispute started the year after we started working together. This was the time when the client went back to US to manage the family business. It is really true, when you have client abroad, communication is really a must as it will help you develop the business relationship. Let me tell you a brief background what we do for them, we provide IT services for them, in this case we developed and created the business website, though it’s not a big website as the content is only static, but it doesn't matter at all as the website is still a fruitful one, for them it is still attracting clients around the country, and the business still working its magic. I feel like I want to talk about the things we are doing with them, so please bare with me a sec, will talk about the important notes later on. One of our tasks is also to manage the host domain, the email and website itself. Honestly, our client is not that tech savvy. It was his first time to pay via our system. The problem happened during this transaction, but it’s not his fault at all. How did I know? Let me give you more details. We are using a project payment system, and also we are using PayPal API to charge our clients with the amount due. What we ask all of our clients is that they register on our business dashboard, our system is capable of tracking website and dashboard activity. So we can track details about the activity the client made. It’s really important that you have a system that track your work as you might end up like what happen to our account. Then, after a month of the payment transaction, I see a dispute flag on our PayPal account. It stated that I need to refund the amount that a client paid a few weeks ago. At that time, what I did was to get all the tracking details that I have obtain for the transaction disputed. I have gathered all the information that i can get, I have manage to obtain the project website screenshot, IP address of the client. Website tracking and client activity, PayPal Transaction ID, and Email communications. PayPal will not immediately reply to discuss about any dispute claim, so make sure that you stay calm when you talk to PayPal resolution support as you need to build a relationship together, though they will require you to provide enough information so that both of you win the charge back dispute trial! TRIAL means that it will go to the court, as the standard time period of dispute claim is 60 days or 2 months after a dispute was raised. You need to wait for that time to get the results. YES! The fact is It is a frustrating transaction but the key here is that you should always be in yourself when you talk to the client and the PayPal support so that you can resolve the dispute ASAP. But let me tell you this, always keep in mind that if you’re doing the right thing, you will win, if you provide PayPal the correct information they need to know, you will not have to worry about losing the money you earn from that client as they will return the disputed amount on your account. Below are few things you need to be able to resolve PayPal disputes: 1st: Call your client as soon as you got the notification. Always, and you should always ask the client calmly if what happen to the transaction and why did his bank raised a dispute about the transaction. If you are from abroad and your client is from Canada of USA. You can call them via VOIP. I will write a separate article about free VOIP later on.
2nd: If the client did not know what happened, the second option is that you call PayPal directly. Ask them about the problem and they will provide you details about the dispute. Remember to take note on everything, get a pen and paper on your side as you need to write down all the important information's. 3rd: If you have managed to get information about the dispute, ask your client to call the bank. If the bank raised the dispute. This is what happened to our transaction, the bank accidentally raised and make a dispute claim on our transactions. 4th: Provide PayPal the details about why you should win the dispute claim. Gather the correct information, leave a screenshot of the work you have made for the client, get the IP address of the transaction as PayPal also record the IP address of the payee, if you could afford to give them the email transaction about the project you are working with them. Provide them! 5th: If you really need the money, ask your client nicely if they could still pay them the amount disputed. Tell your client that they cannot use the credit card connected to the paypal transaction disputed as the payment won't go through and PayPal will block the transaction. 6th: Wait for 2 months and get the results from PayPal dashboard, the results should be posted on your account later on after 2 months. 7th: If the courts favor is on your side and you win the dispute and you already asked the client to pay you again. Return the amount! I hope these tips helped you on how to resolve your PayPal dispute. I am looking forward on your comments and suggestions. Please don’t hesitate to ask questions if you have one.

This video was taken in Rio De Janeiro battle. At first it took us a bit of time and it confuse us a because its not usual for Rafael change pants during the game. But technically he didn't change at all, what he just did is flip the pants because it was mistakenly wore it backwards.
